New Year, New Layers

I’m working on three paintings at the moment, which might seem like a lot, but it’s good so far.
The left is inspired by a gold and garnet sword hilt that had belonged to the Frankish King Childeric I, who had a thing for bees. The centre is the trefoil design I posted about earlier, and on the right is a memorial piece for our two snakes who passed away.
